How Linkin park began?
Linkin park was founded by three high school friends; Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson. The three attended Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California. After graduating high school they began to take their musical interest seriously, that's when they recruited Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, and Mark wakefield to form a band called Xero. With limited resources, Shinoda has a makeshift bedroom studio and the band made 4 demos recorded with the band name, Xero. The band grew more tension and frustration for not getting a record deal and Wakefield have stage fright. Then, Wakefield had enough of trying to get the record deal and left the band. Including Farrell to go to tour with Tasty snack, a Christian punk, and the saga band. After Wakefield left the band, they're trying to find another singer to take his spot. Then, they finally recruited Arizona vocalist, Chester Bennington, who was recommended by Jeff Blue, the vice president of Zomba Music in March 1999. Reason why they recruited Bennington is that he used to be in another band called Post-Grunge by Grey Daze. Not just only that, Bennington has dynamic in his singing style. Then, the band agreed to change the band name Xero into The Hybrid Theory. Except, another band is already taken the name. So they change the band name again into Linkin Park. After changing the band name twice, they began to struggle again because they couldn't get another record deal from warner bros. Except, Bennington called Jeff Blue if he can help out him and he band. Then, Jeff Blue is the new vice president of the warner bros. and gave the band a contract. In relief, they finally released their first album 'Hybrid Theory'.
